My grandma leased her phone from ma bell for like 35 years. So about 35 years at $5.00 per month = $1,920 for a rotary phone!! They told us that we could purchase the phone for $2.50 or bring in to the central office 50 mi away. We chose the 2.50 butt rape rather then $6.20 in fuel to return a useless phone.
